On World Day for Health & Safety at Work, our HSE Manager, Kieran Feenix tells us why health and safety is so important 👇
“Health and Safety is so important because it’s morally the right thing to do. It’s a fundamental right of every living being. It’s expected from society, whether your reasons for going to work are for your loved ones, or to save up to go traveling. Your employer has a moral duty to provide a safe and healthy working environment. A shared mindset to promote or improve health and safety generates nothing but positivity.
Organisations or individuals following this mindset also decrease their failure to meet legal obligations, which can result in costly fines and legal action, in addition to reducing employee morale, retention and productivity. Continued communication with all persons to create a safe environment is something that is expected from both organisations and individuals.”
